I wonder how long it would take for a selected person to get a second email, since the interviews are going on til the 18th.
I'm so hoping for that second email....

it does seem strange that only 1 person here (and one other from the gw2 site) has gotten an interview, then again I remember when I signed up for a marketing company research thing---every so often they call me and say that I have been selected, please call us back, answer some questions and then find out they are not looking for 40+aged women....hubby also signed up with them and has never gotten picked and he is the lucky one in the family (I have gotten to do a few surveys.....they pay so why not?)
so you have to think that they sent out 40k surveys (from the twitter kevin thing)....of those a bunch were not responded to for various reasons (email addy no longer good, people didnt think it was legit, people not checking emails, people got email that are no longer playing, etc). of those they are looking for specific people (yet again probably not the 40+aged female audience--so no interview chance for me).....so a certain age group or whatever (and I hate to say it that they probably didnt send these out to non-english speakers since the interviewers are probably not bi-linguals )...so of those....only a few people would be picked (figure out that there are probably only a handful of interviewers and then add that it takes an hour to do the interview, add that to the number of hours....you get how many interviews they will do....and that is a tiny number ) not to mention that the 'gift' was a very limited supply at PAX....
oh well, not really an art book collector anyways.

I don't find it that strange. It is likely they mainly want the mass survey data and just a handful of more in depth interviews. I wouldn't be surprised if they only do calls to a dozen people.

I never touch any email that has all capitals in the topic title:

I got the email, glanced at it and deleted it. Since it was not from Anet I did not regard it as legit and did not care enough to look into it.

The interview part seemed kind of weird to me because at no point in the survey do they ever ask for your phone number. And as far as receiving the art book, they never ask for your mailing address either. I'd be curious to hear from anyone who actually conducted the interview how this was done and if anyone actually ever ends up getting the art book.

Those that were picked for the follow up interview were done so by a 2nd email at which time I will assume they asked for the phone number to call them at (I will also assume they asked for the mailing addy during the interview). For those of us who didnt get the interview there was no reason to ask for phone number or address. (since it seems they only interviewed a tiny amount of people they got the survey back from )...no need to ask for information like that.....many people would have been even more suspicious of an email or survey asking for that information.
from the email:
Quote:
Respondents who agree to a follow up interview after the survey will receive the book. If you are selected, we will inform you via e-mail within 24-48 hours of completing the survey with an invitation including time and dates.
|
so I KNOW they never asked for phone number or address in the first survey, therefore it would only follow they asked during the 2nd email for a phone number to contact you at, as for the address......

I'd like to hear from somebody who actually did the interview, because I personally think that's a very awkward way to do things.
